Ike lives with Peta and Jim and their three other dogs, he is very spoilt and loved dearly by everyone who knows him.
Ike was an eye catcher from the moment he could move freely and when he was up on his feet, well I knew there was no letting go of this one,
but Peta wanted a black boy so badly that she actually agreed to all the ‘show’ stuff and got to take home the precious boy.
She is the best ‘stage mum’ ever, making sure that Ike has the best of everything and is perfectly groomed and ready for every show.
A true gem and we owe her a great deal already. Thanks from the bottom of our hearts Peta for all your effort so far, we cherish you
and the opportunity you have given us with Ike more than you know.
Peta is having some fun with Ike in obedience as well and tells me he is a wonderful student
who really enjoys working with her—sounds a bit like his mum
Ike is a lovely boy to show, happy and willing to work with me and is learning in the ring as we go. His first show saw him winning Best Baby Puppy In Group and he got a really good look in for
Baby in Show but he decided the day had been long enough and just wouldn't stand for me, we were all totally thrilled with Baby in Group for his first show and Peta is now totally hooked.
Ike has gone onto win Baby of Breed at every show he has been entered in. He has wonderful movement, and his mum's attitude (thinks he's the best !!!!!)
He is a georgeous boy and we are very proud of him and what he has achieved to date.
Ike was back in the showring in March up in the big boys class (Austbred) where he came in second to his cousin (Tommy - Aust CH Scharmeland X-Factor),and then went onto get
Reseve Challenge Dog & Runner Up Best of Breed- we were all very pleased with this effort as Ike had not been shown for nearly 10 mths.
We thought that we had better make a concerted effort to get him out into the showring for some practice so Ike has since had 5 shows, he has won Challenge Dog at all five and Best Of Breed at three of them.
He is learning ring craft and has been improving with every show, we are looking forward to the showring in the future with this young man.
Ike's next show was the 2007 Dobermann National in which he showed beautifully for me, and was graded 'Excellent'
and placed 2nd in the Aust Bred Dog Class, much to the thrill of Peta and Jim.
Dobermann National Critique
Judge: Mrs D Butler (UK)
Ike (Bisart Deal In Dreams) – 2nd in Aust Bred Dog Class – Graded Excellent
Beautiful level head planes, nicely chiselled beautiful neck into well made front,
strong topline and good underline, rear angulation spot on. Moved powerfully around the ring as if he owned it.

With his two legged sister, Maggie arriving just after the National we haven't entered him apart from taking him to South Aust for the Specialty and the
Autumn Festival where he did very well considering the heat and the fact that he hadn't been shown forever. Ike will be back in the showring later this year.
Endurance Test
Bisart Deal In Dreams ET
Ike passed his Endurance Test and gained his Endurance Title at the Gippsland Trial. It was 0 deg when we arrived (suprised the lake wasn't totally frozen over),
and so ofcourse he was extra excited to be there. His heart rate when we arrived was 136 bpm !!! - just a bit excited (his heart rate at the vet was 100).
I was intending to jog his test with him as it was just too hard to get to him to train with the bike but I came down with the flu the week leading into it
and couldn't breath enough to jog around the oval once let alone 22 kms. So considering his lack of training with the bike, he did do extremely well - apart
from wanting to pee on every post, tree, bush, statue, blade of grass and wanting to chase every magpie, duck, swan and ofcourse don't forget the fox !!!!!
It was an eventful morning thats for certain and it is a really great track to ride, easy, interesting for the dogs and beautiful.
He finally settled in the last 400 metres or so .....
His final temp was 36.9 and his heart rate was 72 bpm - so thanks to Peta for keeping him in top shape.
She was thrilled he came home with his first title.
